AXA Travel Insurance Site

We worked with AXA creating their new travel insurance site for Brazil and North America. Our responsibilities in this project included UX, Interface design and prototyping. We also built a custom lightweight CMS for the creation of marketing campaigns and generation of targeted landing pages.

Goals and Challenges

AXA needed to launch a brand new travel insurance product across two very different markets: Brazil and North America. The brief went beyond interface design: it included defining the quote and purchase flow, policy management, and a custom CMS so the marketing team could create campaigns and landing pages without engineering involvement.

We worked on information architecture, key user flows, and the full interface design. The CMS was designed with the marketing team's autonomy as the primary constraint: reusable modular components and a template system that lets them build and modify campaign pages independently.

Design Strategy

Travel insurance is bought once a year, often at the last minute before a trip. Friction in the quote flow has a direct cost in conversion. The design had to be fast, build trust quickly, and adapt to the regulatory requirements of each market.

Alongside the front-facing product, we designed the CMS template system: AXA's marketing team creates and updates campaign pages independently, without engineering involvement on every launch.
